Biography

Rosalind Elsie Franklin was born into a prosperous London family and inherited a fierce intellectual independence that would define her life's work. A chemist and X-ray crystallographer of formidable precision, she pursued her calling through the turbulent years of the Second World War and beyond, moving between laboratories in Paris and London with the focused determination of someone who knew exactly what questions needed answering.
